DCS Montessori Charter School Sexual Harassment (Title IX) Policy and Procedure

Complaint Form

Summary of Department of Education’s Title IX Final Rule

Questions and Answers on the Title IX Regulations on Sexual Harassment (July 2021)

*DCS Montessori Charter School follows the Title IX policy and procedures of the Douglas County School District.

**DCS Montessori’s policy on sexual harassment is in compliance with current sexual harassment regulations of the United States Department of Education (the Department).  The current regulations have the force of law at this time.  The Department has proposed major changes to these regulations which may be put in final form and come into effect as soon as the 2023-2024 school year.  Thus, this policy should be considered applicable for the 2022-2023 school year.  Whether it, or certain portions of it, will continue beyond that point, and what other rules, if any, may come into play for future school years will depend both upon future actions of the Department and analysis by the DCS community, administration, and board of the most effective ways to prevent and, when needed, correct sexual harassment and related misbehavior.
