We are ready to continue our great tradition and our partnership with Danza Dance Academy as we begin year 13th of the DCS Montessori Dance Team! The dance team is an after-school program for all students in Upper Elementary and Middle School regardless of experience.
Our focus will be on learning new and exciting dance, gymnastic, and cheer moves and emphasizing school spirit and team commitment. A great learning experience for everyone! When you enroll, you are signing up for an entire semester. Part of our class is to teach students about team commitment, and we want to include your dancer in our performances.
We have simplified payments this year. Our Dance Team classes are split into two semesters, you can sign up for one semester or both. You will pay 50% of the tuition for the semester when you enroll, then we will bill you for the balance of the semester tuition mid-semester. Tuition covers classes twice weekly, snacks for the classes, Super Practice instruction, dinner for Super Practices, most costume items, props, and miscellaneous items – this works out to less than $10 per hour. Refunds/Cancellations/Transfers For Dance Team: If you cancel enrollment prior to September 1st (for 1st Semester Classes) or prior to January 26th (for 2nd Semester Class), we will refund your tuition less a $40 cancellation fee. After these dates, there will be no refunds. We are unable to transfer students to a different class.
What your dancer will need:
Your dancer will need to provide his/her own black jazz dance shoes to wear to class each day. You can purchase these at any dance supply store. If you visit Dance Xtreme at 6860 S Clinton St, Greenwood Village, CO 80112, Vicky will give you a discount when you mention Danza Dance. Your dancer should also have their hair pulled back from their faces and should wear stretchy, comfy clothing such as leggings, sweat pants or yoga pants and a top that allows free movement.
